15 December 2007Another good turnout for carol singing, this time at Garden House Court.
13 December 2007Thirty three Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, along with leaders, attended the annual carol singing at Homepine House.
3 December 2007Leaders again attended the annual District Quiz, coming second this time instead of winning as they have in the previous two years.
11 November 2007A full complement of Scouts attended the Town Remembrance Parade at the War Memorial. Meanwhile, Beavers and Cubs attended the church parade at Holy Trinity.
13 October 2007Our own Group bag-pack at Sainsbury's, Park Farm, saw Beavers, Cubs and Scouts all helping to raise nearly £800.
30 September 2007Once again, we had a good turnout from all sections at the Harvest Festival Church Parade. This was preceded by going-up ceremonies from Beavers to Cubs and Cubs to Scouts.
15 September 2007A good turnout from all sections at the Kent Scouts Big Event, held at Detling.
13 September 2007Our Group AGM was held, with a good turnout of parents from all sections.
7 September 2007Group Wood badge holders went to the centenary Gilwell reunion, held at Gilwell, from Friday to Sunday.
27 August 2007Members of Cubs and Scouts went to Ross Wood for their summer camps, held separately but coming together for a number of the events as part of our Silver Jubilee celebrations. The camp finished on 31 August.
1 August 2007Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from the Group took part in the Folkestone and Hythe District Sunrise service, renewing their promises at 8am as were Scouts in all countries of the world at 8am in their own time zone. Then some of each section went to Dover Castle to participate in the County event at 10am.
21 April 2007Our birthday celebration evening included a thanksgiving service for twenty five years of Scouting at Holy Trinity.
1 January 2007As we enter a new calendar year, a year in which we will be celebrating the centenary of Scouting, we remember that our Group was founded twenty five years ago and we will be celebrating this as well.
27 April 2006The 24th Birthday Awards Ceremony took place tonight. The awards were presented by the Mayor of Folkestone, Councillor George Bunting. Again there was a good turnout from all sections, along with representatives of the District and Holy Trinity Church.
23 April 2006The annual St George's Day Parade was well attended by all sections. Two Cubs received their Chief Scout's Silver Awards; two Scouts received their Chief Scout's Gold Awards; Hawk (Beaver Leader) received her Wood Badge and our GSL (Rama) received the Gold Scoutmate award on behalf of the Group.
